The first phase of this battle was pretty easy for me, he’s pretty slow and I just cast quen while dodging his power attacks, then spam fast attacks with his back turned

When he reaches 1/3rd health it gets pretty ridiculous with him teleporting all over the place. By the time I have an opening to attack he’s gone again and there isn’t much time to react or cast signs when he reappears. How did y’all manage this last stage of the fight?

If I remember correctly, I would do the first chunk without taking a hit, and then just deal with the damage of not being able to dodge while hitting him with everything I got.

In that final phase, I think the pattern was he'd warp 3 times, then do a final smash into the ground where his mace gets stuck, giving you time to hack him a couple times.

Quen, dodge until he swings his oversized dildo into the ground, then hack him a time or two. Roll away, rinse & repeat.

Enjoyed caving his skull in with that oversized dildo after beating him with this strategy

I don't mean to be a dick (yes I do) but how the frick did you not figure out that after the third teleport he was visibly stuck trying to pull his mace from the ground

Quen and jump dodge and repeat until there's an opening. There's no forcing the back end of that fight. You have to exercise patience.

To me, that fight was more difficult than Eredin. Eredin was just more dramatic due to the different stages of battle and the awareness of what's at stake.

I'm on my 5th or 6th playthrough right now and as long as you give it time between playthroughs, the game just never gets old. I'm still finding little hidden things and quests that I somehow missed every other time .
