Wii U 3rd party reveal was actually generated from PC, PS 3 and Xbox 360

Is this somehow new? Did anyone actually think development on these games was that far underway for such a new console?

I had not seen this. Most trailers for multi-platform games probably come from footage from one system (unless the system specs are vastly different like say Wii vs PS3) so judging the WiiU based on those would be silly.
I would hope most of the judgment was based on the tech demos, which were pretty impressive. The Zelda footage is very impressive and at least partially rendered in real time (can change the lighting and the camera angle all in real time so it isn't all pre-rendered, though some probably is).

Do you really think third parties have had access to the hardware long enough to develop stuff at E3 for it?? 
In addition, everytime they annouce a new console at E3 whether microsoft, sony or nintendo they have something a "console" behind the scences running the games. That "console" hardware looks nothing like the final product.
I remember when 360 first debuted, there were spy pics of dells behind all the kiosks.

Grab a bag of SPITZ and relax. I (personally) think there are better games than Zelda for Xbox and PS3.
