War Thunder thread

Searched but didnt see a thread.
I had played WoT, WoW etc but just jumped back in and found that War Thunder has a more cohesive environment for the 3 vehicle types.
Anyone else play this? Currently they are having a sale which makes the grind a bit less.

I started a thread a while back and not much traction.
I’ve played for a few years and grinded the German tech tree to get Tiger 2. It’s a fun game but I got a bit bored because I was always playing by myself. I also play on PlayStation and the game is more meant for gaming PC imo.
I bet it’s a lot of fun when you have someone to play with, communicate and strategize. I love the penetration graphics too, it’s a great feeling when that big 88 on the Tiger slices through an opposing tank.

I've thought about picking it back up with winter coming.
But with what little time I do play now.....I've been grinding my nuts off at Warship. Not sure if I have it in me to grind more on a different game. I don't think I've progressed all that much in War Thunder.

Tried flying airplanes on XBOX and it was absolutely fricked. Tried for like 30 minutes to get the settings right but I just gave up

I appreciate their buildout of the planes portion of the game but I play on my laptop on my couch where I am not setting up my HOTAS to play. Mouse flying sucks unless you are doing the PvE modes.

It was like 40 gigs lol.

Do you enjoy this game? I guess I don’t get it. Start out with 1.3 BR tanks that are useless against 2.3br tanks, we crap, grind a 2.3 upgrade. Now the group you with BR3.3 tanks.
Like, you can’t ever win. How is this fun? I guess this is how they motivate you to pay money. Want a fair game, give us 200. Nah.
