Vive down to $499, Vive Pro HMD $799

Vive lowered the price to $499, but their pro model which I was looking to upgrade to is $799 for just the headset. No lighthouses or controllers. That’s Apple like pricing, so much for special pricing for upgrade customers.

Well crud I bought the vive in December on sale with included upgrade strap. I would have waited if I knew there was a pro. Boooo the pro. BTW Google earth VR is amazing.

Yeah they really didn’t want to sell the pro pricing it at that with no accessories. The only way to buy the pro is to upgrade because you can’t use it any other way, you need to own a Vive already.

Right now you have to buy both to get the pro to work because the Pro doesn’t come with any accessories, it’s just a headset.

Yes, buying the base model is the only way to get those too. If you buy them separate on Vive’s website, it’s more expensive than buying a base model.
