re: UPDATED -Switch 2 Preorders Are LIVE!

I got flagged for payment method and found no issues with my Citi card. Added an Amex card and it took a temporary hold but I have very little faith this is going to work. Feel like I'm going to end up canceled just like all the rest.

My Best Buy pickup also got charged early this morning, and the status moved to "preparing". Still not picking it up at midnight. I'll go when the store opens normally at 10am!

For all of you, watch the charges, and make sure none of them are getting flagged for fraud alerts. You want to quickly confirm that they are real charges so you don't lose your preorders.

This will be the first Nintendo console launch day in my adult life (starting with the GameCube) that I'm sitting out. I did the registration with them after the announcement and never got an invite, and I just didn't bother with the retailers.

There's really no killer app for me this launch. I love Mario kart but it's not worth dropping 500 for. I'll definitely be reading this board to see what y'all's thoughts are though.

Zelda (not the Hyrule Warriors one) and Animal Crossing here for sure.

I'd also like a Stardew Valley release for Switch2 as well, but unless it was a new graphics engine Im not sure theres any value there since the Switch1 version will work. Maybe they release a Switch2 upgrade for it that offers co-op with the camera feature like MKW and HDR graphics?

It's a pixel art game. Nintendo fans need to lay off the whippets.

Yeah I never finished tears of the kingdom so after the direct the leaks about a possible upscaled version I just put it to the side to come back to. Heard too many horror stories about the frame rate in that game.

Still haven't gotten my invitation from Nintendo to purchase one directly from them. I guess that will come sometime after release.

What's the deal with Target? They have Switch 2 Pro Controllers for Preorder, but Wal-Mart doesn't appear to. Are they just taking tons of orders they cannot possibly fill?

I ordered one on Target April 29, and another on May 30. Also created a separated order to preorder Donkey Kong Bananza.

My Gamestop order status has updated from "pre-order - your order will be processed when stock is available" to "Preparing for shipment - your order has been processed and is being packed for shipment".

Gives me some vague hope I may actually see it sometime before 11pm on the 5th.
