Whelp, Gamestop is trying to bill my card for my pre-order and Chase keeps rejecting it. They are going to end up canceling it.

Ugh, that's not cool.

I preordered two Pro controllers and DK Bananza. Getting the MKW bundle from a friend.

We're using GameFly to test drive the non-MK World games before committing. The Mario Party Jamboree and DK Bananza (once it launches in July). Ditto for Cyberpunk 2077 and a few others.
I just got the digital download for the Lunar Collection, and that + Wind Waker on GC Switch Online Collection will tide me over for quite some time.

I'm still confused on how 1 console w/ 2 Nintendo accounts works. Clearly, I am overthinking it, but I never had a Switch so do not even have a Nintendo account currently.
Fiancé and I will have 1 console, and we will both need to create our own accounts to have our own saves on single player games, progress on MKW, etc. But I want to be the 'primary' account/email because I will be the one buying the games.
Can she switch the primary account whenever she wants to be her account, and vice versa? If we go to another friend's house that has a Switch but doesn't have a game we do, can we sign into our accounts on their Switch to DL and play the game?

I know you said you don't have a Switch, so it might not mean a lot to say this, but the process will be the same.
Both of you need your own Nintendo accounts.
You'll designate your account as the primary, & you'll also assign your Switch 2 as your Primary console. If the digital downloads are linked to that account, it might get a touch tricky but more about that later.
She'll create a user profile on the S2 with her own Nintendo account. Think of it as the same process as when you have multiple Google accounts and you switch between them.
When she wants to play a game with her save files, she'll pick her profile when the game launches (Game card saves).
Where we get into uncharted waters is if they're allowing multiple save files on the DIGITAL downloads.
My wife has her own Switch, but for digital games associated with my account, she needs to pick my profile that's logged in on her console. Why they haven't shared digital purchases between memories on the family group (as established in the Nintendo Switch Online setup) is a mystery to me.
Either you have a family group with trusted members or you don't. That part has never made sense to me.
The new feature that went live earlier this month are the Digital Game Card shares, where you can effectively lend one title to her console (once she has her own) at a time, for a 2 week period. The downside is that if you do that, the game is unavailable to you for that lending period. There are also physical proximity requirement where the distinct consoles need to be in the same room, on same network, etc. I assume this prevents college kids from creating a virtual family group and sharing a library of games across the country.

I wouldn't even get digital if it weren't for getting MK World in the bundle.. I preordered DK Banaza physical version.

I love digital versions because I hate having to dig out the folder that has the game cards

Why is Chase trying to cancel it? Can't you just contact customer service and confirm it's a valid purchase?

Chase rejected it on suspicion of fraud when they tried to bill my debit card, then I changed payment method to my credit card and they rejected that too, suspicion of fraud.
I called Chase and told them to whitefag that shite and they said they have now, but Gamestop needs to charge it again.
Im praying they try again and not just cancel the order.

Whew! Never have I ever been so glad to see a $650 charge on my credit card.

Walmart order on first S2 order w/ 2 Pro Controllers went thru yesterday. Capital One texted me to find out if the charge was legit, and I don't know that I've ever typed "YES" so fast in my life.
Online horror stories were that Walmart was canceling orders for little to no reason, so I was worried that Cap One would frick it up somehow.
Now just have to wait for other order to go thru.

Does your order have a grocery bag or a truck in the purchase history?
Posted on 5/31/25 at 7:36 pm to Greace
Grocery bags for both separate console orders for delivery on 5th. Truck for memory card to be delivered on 6th.
Posted on 5/31/25 at 8:07 pm to VoxDawg
From Reddit:

The icons with grocery bags are being delivered directly from your local Walmart’s store inventory which means you were lucky enough to get a direct from store pre order. If it’s a truck or box it’s coming from Walmart’s distribution center which is where they keep their reserve stock for when their stores run out of inventory. People who have the grocery bag icon will have their Switch 2’s delivered by Walmart Spark drivers.

Weird that you got charged already though. Everything I've read has said that if you have a bag you won't be charged until it's out for delivery

One of the two has shown up as pending on Capital One. WM app still shows as pre-authorized from April 24.
