The Nintendo invites weren't based on time. They were based on how much money you dropped in the store on Robux and shite.

You have a link for that? Or just speculating. Don’t disagree but they stated some pretty specific criteria.

Right. I thought they were pretty clear it was a straight lottery. Only requirements to qualify for the lottery were being an online subscriber for 1 year and 50 hours documented playtime on they Switch1.

I don't, based on last switch and ps5 preorders from sony. The criteria wasn't how fast you signed up.

I'm wondering if they factored in like how recently you've played at all. I haven't touched my Switch since I beat Mario Wonder back when it came out. I also only usually buy physical copies of games, so I barely spent anything in the online store.

Also saw that Costco has the Switch2 listed... just says they won't have any in stock until June 5th. And of course my work has me traveling out of town on June 5th...

Doubt it. My kids play every fri/sat/sun

Looks like Best buy is anticipating having a limited switch to stock at the midnight event for the launch on June 5th

Sounds like Best Buy will be a madhouse.

I have a in-store pickup at Best Buy and I'm NOT looking forward to it at all.
Definitely skipping the midnight release. I'll just go in the morning when the store opens.

Yeah, I wouldn't wish that scene on my worst enemy.

Regarding Nintendo Switch 2 purchase invitations from My Nintendo Store
Hello Vox,
On behalf of the My Nintendo Store team, thank you for registering your interest to purchase the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system from Nintendo.
We wanted to let you know that you’re still in the queue to purchase, and to share with you a handful of updates on what to expect.
?
What happens now
?
There’s nothing you need to do right now.
The first invitations to purchase through the My Nintendo Store have begun going out. Invitations will continue to go out periodically until all eligible registrants receive an opportunity to purchase (as they become available). Due to a high number of registrations, we can’t provide exact timing on when you can expect to receive your invitation.
When it’s your turn, we'll send you an email inviting you to shop.
If you pre-order or purchase Nintendo Switch 2 from a retailer and later receive an invitation to purchase Nintendo Switch 2 from My Nintendo Store, you are not required to purchase the system from My Nintendo Store.
?
When to expect your invitation
?
We do have a lot of registrations and apologize that we can’t provide exact timing. Rest assured that we’ll continue sending invitations past the system’s launch date.
?
How to spot your invitation
?
The invitation will come from no-reply@noa.nintendo.com. Please be sure to add this email address to your safe sender list and check your inbox’s Junk, Spam, or Promotions folder.
The invitation email will be from “Nintendo.”
The subject line will include “It’s your time to purchase” as well as your choice of system you selected when registering.
One thing to note: Once you receive the invitation email, you’ll have 72 hours to complete your purchase from when you receive the email, so be ready to act quickly!

Just got an email from Nintenod saying that I'm still in their queue... but there's no telling when I'll actually get an invitation to buy.
