University E Sports Clubs - some of the prize money is real, material amounts of money.
Is there fraud in the gaming world when it comes to the prize money? Example, a group of talented players enroll at one university and compete for the prizes.
My example would include those players grouping together at one school and being semiprofessional as well.
Just seems like an environment ripe for corruption.

Makes me wonder if some of the newer laws on cheating, mainly resulting from fishing tournaments, would apply to esports stuff? Imagine seeing Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries raiding some LAN nerds. Green Jeans hiding in the shrubbery outside the lobby doors of the CompSci building on campus.

I'm thinking about various potential cases, and it has major issues of practicality. I mainly see the fighting game aspect of esports, but corruption is nigh impossible in any meaningful way. It also would be extremely difficult to conceal.
Maybe there's a more practical way with team games, but those have other practical issues.
University clubs also won't have much prize money to throw around either realistically.
ETA: As for online competition where someone could utilize actual cheats, major cheating is difficult to conceal, and even using tools that are easier to hide (wallhacks in Counter Strike being an example) can be picked up on by other experienced players.
