“After you create your character, Dana White introduces you to the UFC and puts your fighter in a tryout fight that will determine where he starts on the totem pole. At first he will be fighting fictional lower-end fighters, and over time he’ll move on to mid-level fighters and eventually the upper-echelon stars”.
“Your fighter progresses by improving his skills and gaining “cred points” that can be used to move to the next level. UFC matchmaker Joe Silva will offer you a number of potential opponents with different styles for your fighter’s next bout, with the tougher opponents yielding more cred points. It is then your responsibility to properly prepare for the fight”.
“Career mode lasts for seven years, at which point your fighter will have a retirement fight. If you perform well enough you will gain induction into the UFC Hall of Fame. In addition, players can take their created fighters and compete online against the created fighters of other players. The developers say career mode for any given created fighter will last around 10 hours”.

then i stop him sooooo many times then he finally gets me down and i'm so tired from blocking the takedowns he taps me with ease.

The controls need to be tightened up a bit but pretty solid.
Using Rua even on the easy setting I can't get the Muay Thai "whip to do shite"
The Step control seems really unreliable. Ground defense is kind of fluky too

At time if you move the stick a little to far you step and other times when trying to flick it madly my guy just walks around.
Also it would have made more sense to put Head Block on Right Bumper and Body Block on Left Bumper.
Ok after playing around with it some more
1) Step - Sucks. Should just change it to a double tap in any direction
2) Clinch - Can I stay in a clinch for more than 5 seconds? Even when I have time to try something in Muay Thai the whips don't work
3) Takedowns - I think I'm doing something wrong, but with Rua I can't get a takedown to work for crap
4) Ground game - I think I'm finally figuring this out, but still seems to be fluky.
5) Striking not enough of a penalty for screwing your "big" Left Bumper+Whatever attacks.

when you get to full mount and the ground guy has the back of your head, how do you break that and sit up? I dont have any trouble transitioning to mount. I havent played the harder difficulties, but it seems like the only way out when youre the man on the ground is to try random transitions to try to reverse. I agree that you dont get penalized for missing big. Also, I kick the living shite out of the other persons front knee and there is nothing to show for it. I figure that he would slow down or hobble or something.

Dumb question but how do you step? When I knock him on his back I want to do the lunging punch but can't get that shot to work

i love fighting rua on beginner and just keep bringing him to the ground and knocking the shite out of him and do it just enough to where he can get up and i start the process all over again.

I keep stepping it up in difficulty. Anyone else having trouble keeping the mount position when you get it? If not, what am I not doing right? It seems I get the mount, then we roll into a sitting position where I get the back, and then Lidell just breaks free and gets up? WTF? I'm using the right stick (at least I think) to avoid this but it seems to happen way too easy. Anyone else have this problem?
