the strike marker... put it lower on the ball to apply backspin. Keep in mind this will take distance off of your shot
Had a bogey and a double in my final round yesterday, finished at -33 under... good enough for 3rd right now. MEH

I've been playing with no spin. makes me feel better about only shooting -14 on the first 3 rounds this weekend. Maybe I'll actually get better now.

I rarely use it, because I suck at judging how much more club I need to add. Mainly use it on pitches and chips

On 2013 I only used it when I had a buried or rough lie
I'd try to get it back to the meat of the ball and I'd hit a good shot

When driving into the wind Ill put the marker towards the top of the ball
this gives it a lower trajectory, and top spin... Wind doesnt knock it down as hard

you can also press up/down on the right stick while lining up your shot and it moves the ball up/back in your stance which also adds spin. if you do that and also move the strike point on the ball down then you can pretty much hit any club any time. be careful though because you can easily roll it back 10 yards off the green

Just shot -12 on TPC Sawgrass on TP diff using the methods above. With 15 mph winds. I think I may have turned the corner on TP diff.
Also switched to power style, got more careful on my swings and more aggressive on putts. Feel like I might actually be respectable in the weekly tourney now

Started the 3rd round with 5 straight birdies, then a double.
Birdied 7 in a row on the back 9 and bogied the last
-10 for the round -24 overall.
Gonna need to shoot -19 to tie

Anyone else have this feeling about TW14? :
When I have a good round, I want to play all the time until I have a bad round or two, then I don't want to pick up the controller for a few days

I'm hopping on tonight to squeeze in all four rounds. Had my bachelor party this past weekend so I've been busy. Hopefully my connection to EA is better this week so I can go after some of those low scores!

I can't get on. Something is going on between my Verizon Mifi and the EA Servers where it won't let me sign on. I called both of them and neither could give me much help. I was trying to enable the upnp, but no where in my mifi settings do I see it.

Since they took out the old sponsor set up, do y'all know how it works as far as this game? I didn't think they had them at all, but I just played in the Masters for my first major and instead of having my normal clothing, my guy is wearing EA clothing. Why is this?

When you level up your golfer, you get access to different brands of clothing.
I think the default is EA stuff.
