I think asylum made great use of the villains who were not in the game (at least physically speaking)
you find the ventriloquist's dummy in the warden office, you see the cells that housed riddler, two face and calendar man. You find catwoman's gloves and goggles, penguin's tophat and umbrella.
I think city did a great job with the rogue's gallery (exceptions to bane and deashot, very unfulfilling), but it didn't have that ominous presence that the others were lurking
I go back and forth between which one I prefer. It ultimately ends up being city because the main point of the game is to be the batman, and you feel more like the batman in city with the improved combat (it's not even close, I run out of things to do in asylum and ruin my combo) the improved gliding mechanics, the riddler mazes (but still too many trophies and they didn't feel as satisfying as they did in asylum), and the story (the musical score at a particular point in the game just really nails the epicness you feel at that point in the game)
eta: I love how detailed rocksteady is with their environments too, city is bigger, but there are no shortage of easter eggs, but it feels that way because asylum had the same amount packed into a smaller area

you're missing out with final fantasy X, I just loved the shite out of that game and the history of the world is convoluted but so detailed and satisfying as it pertains to the story.

Fox, if you're this hard up for Arkham Knight, I'd hate to see how I would be with a good Superman game.

so there are some new details, mostly centered on how visually impressive the game is going to be (which hasn't been talked about)
the rain got a lot of praise on the PC demo...it runs down objects like actual rain. So the way it runs off batman's mask differs from how it runs down a box or building. It is "smart" or actual rain. The sounds of the rain also varies on what objects it is hitting...so the sound of it hitting wood is different from the sound of it hitting metal.
the batmobile has been shown destroying parts of buildings, rails, etc. just driving around the city. Anything that is destroyed, stays destroyed through the entire playthrough. Same concept applies to the weapons of thugs and such. I'm hoping this means little "re-spawning"
the time it takes the batmobile to arrive when you call it depends on how far you are from where you last ejected or exited (I'm curious to know if you can just hop in and out in addition to diving in and ejecting out)
and the best detail is that the batmobile is fully integrated into the gameplay and isn't some tack on to sell games. It received a lot of praise for how it handles and how it is fully integrated into the game (the reason rocksteady took 4 years on this game versus the 2 between asylum and city, and the reason montreal did origins, was so they could perfect its integration into the game and make it work to perfection)
