Have a class with cold blooded pro and a stinger...problem solved.

I don't know, I guess I just got tired of people running the same play over and over and over again, and instead of taking it, I run a full out blitz, hit them for -15 yards, they quit on me, and then make my rep go down by "ignore all games from this person" .. it got irritating.. very quick.

Well, this has ruined an otherwise lovely day. We’ve just heard from a Warner Bros rep that the PC version of Batman: Arkham City will be delayed. There’s no release date set, yet; it’ll be arriving at an unspecified date in November. No reason was given for the delay to the PC version of the game, which was originally planned to be released alongside console versions on October 18. If we had to guess; making PC games is hard. What a bunch of jokers.
Might have to go PS3, and do PC later.

Glad I went with 360.

that sucks. i might as well get it for 360 so when can all gawk and talk about it together.
anyways, went in to best buy today and went to the computer parts section... how come these prices don't seem that bad...

It's not bad unless you try to do it all at once without realizing it will be expensive.

well, i know it will be expensive. it's too bad i can't get it all at best buy. i would have to get the motherboard and processor from newegg. best buy has ram pretty cheap too. i noticed the cases were a bit pricey. my thing was to do it all seperatly but i couple of pieces a month or something.

sorry, vari. i take it back. they're not cheaper.
eta: it's not like i know what i'm doing or anything. i don't know what's new, i don't know what's old. i figured i might as well just go in best buy and get a computer that's already built and just go from from there. it's easy for me that way. but i want to learn.

I didn't know what I was doing when I first built my computer. You end up learning as you go along.

it's the terminology i don't understand. what is ddr3 or ddr2 mean/ why do you need a video card when there's video coming out of the motherboard? why is ram built into the video card when you have it in the motherboard?

Everything needs short-term memory. You're over-thinking this.
Posted on 9/20/11 at 1:05 pm to Devious
what exactly does the motherboard do?
when i first thought about doing it, i thought it would be simple. i thought i would just be able to plug and play and be done with it.

Teh brain...controls everything.
It is simple and plug-n-play for the most part.

ddr3 or ddr2
Just know this: ddr3 is the new and improved ram, it is the "standard" that most motherboards take, and is twice as fast as ddr2 - that's why they updated to it.
First off.. the video comes "out" of the video card.. the only way it's coming out of the motherboard is if there is an integrated graphics card on the motherboard.. and in that case it steals the ddr memory in order to "run" the video. When you get a separate graphics card, it can still use the memory of the computer, but it has memory actually "integrated" into the graphics card itself, which allows it to run better.

The thing I remember most is, Motherboard is one of the most important parts of the computer. Computer can go only as fast as the Motherboard allows.
Well, that's true for most anything in a PC, but still :P

Computers can only go as fast as the "processor" will allow it - the motherboard can only take specific processors.
