I always asked about "tipping policies" before I applied for a waiting job.
If any of my tip went to anyone else, I didn't apply, I can't stand the idea of bus boys or hostesses getting MY tips.. that would just irrc me the wrong way.

I can't think of any restaurant where you don't tip one of the 3...I find tipping bartenders annoying considering they make minnimum wage and make their own tips with drinks AND food...I don't mind tipping the busser so long as they bus my tables...the hosts at our restaurant just wipe the tables, I bus my own. I tip bartenders and hosts...

cash tips can be hidden from the gubment...but tip with what you want...I tip credit card. 90% of places let the servers walk with the money they make, meaning they'll take home cash that they earned in c.c tips

I have worked at 3 different restaurants.. every single one of them you took your tips, and that was it. Then again 2 of the 3 places didn't have a bar, and at the 3rd place the bartender was really cool, and we might have needed to give him a part of our tips, but he always said he was good with HIS tips and didn't want anyone elses.

I finally beat the game I was "achievement whoring" on..
I might be done with it, the grind just wasn't worth it after awhile.

in a perfect world there would be no problem...I do about 700 in sales on an average/busy night with only a 3 table section...I'm going to pay out about 20-30 bucks to bartender hosts, but if I am tipped appropriately, I'll still walk with 120...HOWEVER, stupid redneck aholes, ignorant small town motherfrickers and ghetto hood rats frick that process up alot of times

This is actually the weird thing: my best tips came from a buffet and cracker barrel.
At cracker barrel I would walk away with $80 AT LEAST every single time I stepped foot in the building.. that includes 3 hours shifts.

I imagine that's due to the volume of orders a place like that will do daily

Yes to both. The Crack House loooooved them some "get in and get out within 20 minutes" moto. With a buffet restaurant you could wait about 15 more tables because all you had to worry about was the drinks - but the tips were still about the same.

The acronym is usually - tldr - Too Long Didn't Read - but sic is lazy and left off the dr.
ETA - and now has syphilis and doesn't know about it.

Crap.
And I left off the "dr" because I actually read some of it.
Don't try to explain me

I never worked as a waiter, but I have worked as a bellman before. I got pretty decent tips doing that.

It is imperative that you understand why TigerDroppings is - what is it - since last year. It is because of this thread, that is now in the cellar, but actually more active than most threads on this website.. it's weird.
