Yeah Valve is fricking with the ranking system. Trying to make GN1 the "average" rank. I deranked from MGI to GN1 in 8 games and I went 4-4. One of the losses I was 38-17 in a 16-14 loss and still deranked. shite's fricked up right now.

I'm too busy with Rainbow Six Siege. I feel like it's an updated version of what Counter Strike is. Such a great game.

I can understand the changes to a certain degree but I felt I was ranked right around where I should have been. Dropping me two spots for two games where I went 24-21 against a presumed hacker and going 34-8 in a close loss on the second game just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. In the lower ranks I feel personal results should weigh more over team results until your in the higher ranks. There's very little coherent team work in silver and gold and to be penalized that harshly for something largely outside my control is a little unfair.

I can agree with this. Though i'm one of the players getting the short end on this, it makes sense. I ranked up WAY too fast. I had zero experience with any CS game ever and ranked up from getting placed in Silver 4 to MG1 in slightly over a month and less than 150 hours. Granted, I had played other FPS' on a highly competitive level so all I really had to learn were strats for maps, grenade usages, and recoil. The game awareness and teamwork were already in place from years of SnD. As long as it's not damn near impossible to rank up, I'm ok with it.

I will say this... Frags are important for the success of the overall game, but don't be fooled into thinking that killing more people will result in wins.

Not making a call or pushing a bomb site without help are things that will result in a loss. Find 2 or 3 people with your same skill set and play with them, solo Q will only lead to frustration at that rank especially. Once you move up 2-4 ranks solo Q will be a bit better, but still a crap shoot.

I play on esea servers bc the team work is generally better, the only knock is that 90% of the player base is complete assholes who think they are gods.
