I never waste a silver, gold, diamond on relief pitching unless Pat Neshek or another crazy delivery pitcher is there. It's just not worth it and the silvers could be used on positional players. You're welcome
Oh and you are guaranteed at least 1 gold for your bench, so if you have to... suck it up and draft a questionable positional player and you may get lucky and get a gold player from the bench that you could sub in every game. I took a flyer on SS and took Brendan Ryan, and wound up getting Carlos Correa as an option for my bench.

Fair enough haha, like I said this is my first ever go-round with this series. And I agree on taking pitches, my buddy and I played last night and both starters went the distance with neither cracking 90 pitches.

I figured that out after my first entry.
Next one I selected 2011 Kinsler, 2010 Coco Crisp, Tulo, Jose Abreu, a throwback A-Rod card, Corey Hart (don't remember the year but he was an 87 overall) and then Rasmus.
I liked that approach much more.

When it came down to that gold bench player I drafted the one that had a greater OVR compared to my starter and the same position. So I just switched him out and had another gold in the starting rotation baw

I can't figure out how to sell my cards.
I go to the market place and click on buy/sell. My selling options brings me to liek 76 pages of cards that I can't even sell. Do I have to go through all the pages to find the cards that I do have to sell? There has to be an easier way.

The easiest way to find your card through the mess (yes it's the only way unless you feel like quick selling for no reason), is to press square and sort everything out to his stats.

I scored a run off Neshek last night and felt so accomplished I cracked open a beer

Complete the missions (in game, conquest) and flip cards in the Marketplace.

have amazing pack luck and/or play Battle Royale mode and win enough games to get some extremely good cards. I think you get like diamond type cards once you reach 20 wins.

I finished the 25 Braves players to get my Omar Infante yesterday. Was happy to see it unlocked Fred McGriff as a reward once I collect all of them

You can technically get it all for free.
You accumulate stubs at a slow rate by doing just RTTS and what not.
You also get cards for logging in once a day and randomly while you're playing that you can choose to sell or not.

I'm gonna ask a stupid question but you guys are very helpful. On DD how do you sell cards? And how do I ship them on the marketplace? DD is pretty overwhelming having never played The Show before

Okay, I'm probably having a little too much fun with DD and the logo editor. As much as I tried, that's about as close as I could get it. I'm a little lost with the logo vault if anyone wants to download the logos.

On DD how do you sell cards
You have to put your card up for sale on the marketplace. To do this, head to the market place and use the filter to find the card you want to sell. Once you locate your card, you have two options Creating a Buy Order (meaning you want to buy a card for 'x' amount) and create a sell order (meaning you want to sell your card for 'x'). When dealing with the market place only the top listed item on both menus can be selected for buy/sell. So if you are trying to sell your card for 1000 stubs and someone posts their version of that card for 900 stubs, then yours will not sell unless theirs is sold first.

Took a break from DD and fired up Franchise mode. I like the new mechanics so far. It doesn't strike me as deep as previous iterations, at least not yet. No more direct control over the AAA and AA lineups and pitching staffs? At least I couldn't find it.

Is DD not a "real" money game? Meaning those who spend money buying packs will have the better cards/players which obviously means better teams? I'm an annual The Show buyer but have never even clicked on DD to play because I always assumed it was a cash grab and thought my team would never be as good as the people who actually spend money on it. Why play if I am at a competitive disadvantage from the start? But this thread has me extremely interested in trying it out. So is that not the case? TIA
And you do play real people online in this mode, correct? How is match making handled if so?

From my very brief experience, in order to put together a good team, you're going to have to dedicate a whole lot of time to this game mode.

Any type of "MyTeam" mode is going to be some form of a money grab. However, MLB The Show makes it so extremely easy to flip cards for profit that you only need to spend maybe a solid week or so of flipping to get to around 100K in stubs. They will inevitably have people dropping hundreds of dollars on packs (I myself have spent $80 on top of the $99.99 Deluxe version) just because I don't plan on buying another game for at least 3-4 months and I love ripping packs regardless if I get a great card or not. It's just fun to do.
Yes you play real people in Diamond Dynasty H2H and in the new game mode Battle Royale. In H2H you are matched up based on your rating. If you are 1500, they will start a search with people below you from like 1400 to above you at like 1600 and both numbers extend their respective ways until you are matched. That doesn't mean that you won't have an opponent with a stacked team in the first game you play. I haven't played DD once yet and I have majority gold positional players from the packs I've opened.
