FINALLY got to Dead Orbit Rank 25. This is the first exotic questline from a faction I've done. I always thought the progress would be slow, so I never put the resources in to rank them up.
In 48 hours, I went from Rank 16 to Rank 25. It's really not that difficult...
Used all notes any time I could. All glimmer went with either ether seeds to get heavy synths, and all the rest of the glimmer went to weapons parts. Used all marks to get the resource for last week. And to replenish it all, I just patrolled Earth and followed a Public Events timer to get more motes.
That wasn't even the grind. The grind is winning 10 crucible matches, killing crucible players, doing 10 heroic strikes, and killing Taken

Very nice. I've got the Dead Orbit and New Monarchy exotic cloaks. Working on FWC at level 12.
It's a lot more rewarding now after the update. You literally get about double the exp than before.
Now that all my characters are 335, I don't need nearly as many ToC's, so I farm strange coins and buy 3 heavy ammo synths per strange coin to power level my factions.

Welp, to add to my misery, I immediately changed factions after getting the cloak not realizing you can't wear it if you aren't in that faction

So I have enough Strange Coins to get me about 5 more levels in FWC (Rank 21 for my Warlock). I know I can squeak out another level with bounties and stuff, but I really wanna hit 25 tomorrow. I may be grinding the hell out of patrols for those last 3 levels.
