Idk but obviously I need to go and research how trades are done. That's not gunna fly.

I think I could set it up where I have to allow a trade, but I didn't want to have to do that. Can't have people manipulating the league like that though. That's not even close.

What the heck. Those are A potentials I gave up for guys who have big contracts and older. How are those trades shady??? You guys are looking at overall too much. I going for it all this year.
I don't want to upset anyone though and am willing to change back if it a problem. But geez teams trade farm potentials for veteran talent.

In both trades I gave up big potentials. Both trades make sense. A guy who is 46 overall with A potential jumps up big time whereas a 75 overall D potential stays put. If this were one year league then yah trades are dumb but if we keeping this thing then it makes sense. That's why game allows it.

Trades There is a lot of debate over the trade logic in the game. The trade logic in the game looks to acquire players depending on their need or team strategy. A team strategy of rebuilding will result in the team trying to remove veterans (especially ones in the final year of a contract) for young prospect. A team in Playoff Push will trade prospects for immediate help. A team in Normal will make lateral type trades, which is trades looking both at now and for the future. The logic also looks at areas of weakness and areas that they have surplus in as well as salary. Teams will place players in the surplus position on the trade block and look to fill one of their weaknesses. Teams in rebuilding mode will not take on additional salary while teams in playoff push will. (If they have the budget room)

I don't see anything wrong with it.

An A potential and a C potential do not always equal a Ryan Howard or other players of that caliber. I understand he is a B potential, but if Trout was a B potential do you honestly feel that giving up an A potential player and a C potential player would be sufficient? There needs to be a better system in place for making trades. With all the trades i've seen so far, specifically involving superstars on former teams, we are slowly killing any possibility of potentially adding more active users in the future. Do you honestly feel that someone would want the Angels now? No Pujols, Josh Hamilton, or Mike Trout? I sure as shite wouldn't want them. If we were going to make all these outlandish trades, perhaps a fantasy draft should have been done instead of regular rosters?

We would have ran into the same issue IMO
I understand the A potential argument, but I'm not totally sold. Giving up terrible players now who might not ever be anything for some pretty decent guys

I see your points. I just figured to go for it this year. I'll quiet down on trade front. Let it be known that I had good record before any trade lol.
aren't we just gonna stay with 12??

Ryan Howard is a 79 I believe and he's 35 with 3 years contract at almost 7 million. So in a way I gotta eat that and that makes trade seem more realistic.

We are, but I am just putting into perspective. If we ever wanted to explore opening the franchise up to more people nobody would want the Angels in their current state. Who did you give up for Trout? Did you give up Bautista at least ?

I think those particular trades are bad examples but I agree with the overall complaints. I've seen some pretty outlandish stuff just browsing the trades for like 3 mins.

Even the CPU is making stupid damn trades.

I gave up David Price who is 28yo and Pot A (also a Lefty and up for new contract); J. Stewart who is 25 and Pot B; B. Hamilton 23yo and Pot A (speedster)
Keep in mind Trout needs new contract so I may only have him as rental...cause Bautista, Encarnacion, Reyes are locked up big long term....although Ill do everything in my power to lock him up.

Oh and to originally get B. Hamilton I had to give up an 18yo B Pot; a 20yo 71Ovr and a good closer Pot B.
To get Price originally I had to give up Mark Buehrle 82OVR and PotB; Bret Cecil 27yo and 76OVR and B. Acevedo 25yo Pot B.
So really to get Trout in long run it cost me a ton but then again he is superstar...but I feel itll cost me a few key players to keep him with huge contract.
Most of my other trades were just to get guys the real Jays had or to pick up some help in rotation.
