re: The Official Battlefield 3 Thread

I am not going to argue that BF: games are better than any other fps out there. What I will do is post things I really enjoy about these games over other fps.
-The vehicles, (driving/flying around a map, with a driver, gunner, and engineer while a recon lights up targets is a beautiful sight, as is having someone tracer a tank/helicopter and having a engineer take it out with a rocket)
-Squad play (most of my hours in BF have been spent in squads of friends and nothing beats team play, being a medic or an engineer and healing or repairing your teammates is one part you don’t seem to get with other fps)
-Maps (enjoy the size of most of the maps, I like the flow of rush game play where once you lose two objective points you have fall back to a set of new points to guard. I don’t know any other fps game that does this)
-No God (it revolves around team play so it’s not like good old counter strike where one person could just rape a team by just sitting back with the AWP and Desert Eagle, to complete the objectives you need some sort of team work)

Things I don’t like,
No class limitations (so if you happen to be on a server with lower ranked players and they all want to be recon, it may be a 2 assault, 2 engineers, 1 medic, and 7 recon against a more balanced team.)
No way to kick people (nothing pisses me off more than seeing a capture point being changed from your teams to another, while 4 or 5 people run the opposite way, or when the mcon station is going off an people trying to find the person who just killed them instead of completing the objective) (I enjoyed good old counterstrike days where if a admin was actually on the server and the bomb had been planted and the retarded was not even attempting to defuse the bomb he would be slayed)

To this day my favorite game is Team Fortress Classic/TFC 2,
