I'm leaving this one on auto to see how the computer does. I know it's not as good as I would be, but I only needed two positions and I'm in so many dynasties, it's hard to keep them straight recruiting-wise.
I noticed that it doesn't try for many 5 stars at all, mostly just 4 stars. It does get several for each position required, though.

What the hell? I just played my game against NC State, blew them out, but after I ended the game it said could not connect to dynasty servers. I retried plenty of times until i finally turned my xbox off. Now it says I didn't play the game????

4* DE, hoping to get a few after the big win against MEEECHIGAN. I took three guys that were down to 3 and I was on top. There is one ATH. that I want and it would make my class. I need him at QB.

I dont think i'm recruiting correctly.
I've offered scholarships to everybody, unlock their line items (championship contender, confernece prestige etc) and schedule visits. Is there anything elese i'm supposed to be doing?

Why don't you think you are doing it correctly? Most won't commit until the end of the season or in the offseason. The only time I've had recruits commit early is before the first game of the season if I am their first choice. I always offer a scholarship to players that have me first before the first game. Other than that, I usually don't even offer a scholarship until they move me up to 2nd or 1st.

I don't think it can hurt you other than the fact that you had less time to talk to them the week(s) that you offered scholarships. Just make sure you have two "Very High"s and one "Most" before having them visit.
I haven't noticed a difference between having them visit for a cupcake game or a bigger/rivalry type game. Someone here said you should call plays geared towards the positions that you have visiting, but I'd rather schedule them for a guaranteed win than a possible loss or close game.

The rank order of games for recruiting are:
1. Rivalry Games
2. In Conference Games
3. Out of Conference Top 25
4. Out of Conference Non-Top 25
5. FCS Teams
Invite them to Rivalry games and win, and you're almost guaranteed an A+ to a A-.

I'll make an exception this one time for a restart, because just as I was posting the no restart rule, ponchy was posting his problem with the servers. Also, I had a similar problem getting into the dynasty around the same time, so this further validates his claim. This is the one and only time. Everyone knows the rule, so there should be no problem.
