Settings

I think quarter length should be longer than five minutes…I would prefer playing in the 7-8 minute range. I’m open for suggestions. I’m leaning towards setting the skill level to All-Madden, however, I will consider All-Pro if it is a deal-breaker. Sliders may be adjusted as needed. Regarding trades, I think it would be OK to allow CPU trades as well as user trades. Again, I’m open for suggestions. I don’t think I will set an accelerated clock and I really would like to turn off fight for the fumble too.

Rules

Cheasing will be very frowned upon. Excessive cheesing may also lead to eviction from the league. We could develop a rough set of guidelines that players should abide by.

Regarding substitutions, Substitions:

QB – only QBs may play the QB postion; if you would like to use a QB at another position – more power to you
HB - may sub to 4th/5th WR in a 4/5 WR set
FB – may sub to HB, or TE
TE - may play any slot WR position
WR - no subs to any other position; RB may sub as WR as described above
O-line - may play any O-line position
D-line - can play any D-line position; DE “tweeners” may be subbed to OLB
LB's - may play any LB position; outside LB “tweeners” may be subbed to DE
SS or FS – interchangeable, but no other subs
CB - no subs to any other position unless SS/FS vacancies due to injury
KR/PR – your choice

Other miscellaneous rules:

Going for it on 4th down – permissible if: a) team has one yard or less to go and is on the other side of the 50 yard line, b) team is down by more than 21 at any point in the second half, or c) team is down at any point in the fourth quarter.

Fake kicks/punts – same as above

Onside kicks – any time in fourth quarter

Disconnections - if the same person disconnects twice, the other person should continue versus the the CPU. If a Disconnect happens in the 2nd half then the person who was up can decide between a restart or have his opponent set to CPU. If the winning team is the reason for the disconnection then it should always be a restarted or if a disconnect happens in the first half of a game the game should be restarted. If neither person has the time on that day to play another game the game should be rescheduled if possible and if not the game will be simulated.

Good luck in your franchise, are you not going to get NCAA at all? Its pretty good man, games are really competitive against the CPU and our league is going really smooth..we are in conference championship week already.
