i5 3570k
asus Mobo z77
16 gb ram

Don't really need a high end one as I don't really plan on gaming much but would like a decent one at least.Should I go 6770? or is that not good enough?

You're going to have to tell us what kind of gaming you want it to be capable of.

Im not gonna really game too much. I just need a well balanced card as far as designing and stuff like that. I don't care too much about max settings but I would like it to look decent for when I do. Im more worried about memory than speed.

You can't go wrong with a GTX 560ti. If you can hold out for a few months, I would wait for the GTX 660 series. They are rumored to be released at the end of the summer.

I would go with the GTX 560 and save about $50. It is very nearly as good as the Ti.

Ha I'm so out of the loop on new cards. If that's the case I would wait till the 660's are out and you most likely can get a nice over clocked 560ti or even a 448 core card for 100-150.

Radeon 7850 is the same price as the GTX 560ti and runs circles around it for what you want.

Memory Bandwidth

Radeon HD 7850 153600 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 560 Ti 128256 MB/sec
Difference: 25344 (20%)

Also beats the 560ti by 5% in Texel Rate and 5% in Pixel rate. Get the 7850 brah.

Ya but the 7850 is as hot as a fire, it does bench better but I prefer my case not to catch on fire.

Sweet that chart should help out a bit ... I really need to watch the power output though.I figured up all my system wattage via newegg but it only gives the option of high end card and basic card.

It's the current you may have to worry about, but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. 550W is plenty of power, but I'm not sure what current that power supply is capable of handling. Btw, your link is broken because it has an extra https:// in front of it.

Think I may just wait until something good pops up on slickdeals and jump on it then. It will atleast give me time to read up on exactly what card I need.

This is what I bought last week. It has run everything I've played at its highest settings in 1080p without running hot at all.

I'm about to slap another one of these bad boys for SLI...even solo (w/i7 2600k FWIW), all games run at full graphics settings with no issues. I get max FPS in everything.

Good all around card and the dual fans keep it cool. Also supports dual monitors as a single vid card.
