I can't believe I bought Mass effect years ago and played for an hour and shelved it, picked it back up a few months later and never looked back. My favorite series ever, I sure am glad they stopped at 3 though.

I didn't play them until a few years ago and loved ALL of them. 3 was fixed for the most part when I played it.

My only problem with 3 was the level of hopelessness. The Universe was attacked by way too many reapers. Everything would be dead by the time I finished my 100 hours of side quests.

I didn't hate Andromeda. Played a solid 90 hours but didn't even finish the story. It just didn't have the same emotional impact at the previous 3.

I finished my first play through a few weeks back. Quite an enjoyable franchise. I didn’t have any of the DLCs for Mass Effect 2 or 3 though (because the DLCs each cost more then the games at this point.)

Mass Effect 3 and its ending would’ve been perfect had EA not forced BioWare to rush it.

It was a complete turd at launch, redeemed only by the combat system... but patches and fixes have made it a tolerable game. Still a failure of a story as compared to ME1-3, but not a complete flop.
