Suppose it depends on your expectations. I think a lot of players were hoping this would completely revamp the direction of the game and I guess it doesn't do that. But then I think most are just happy to play in on location and not have to system hop.
Yeah I mean I think it's more of the same. If you like Starfield, you should like Shattered Space, but it won't win over anyone who was lukewarm about the game.

I've been enjoying very much it but I'm also a person that plays Bethesda rpgs ad nauseum.
I'm kinda with Mr. Matty though in the respect that it just isn't enough for the perception of the game.
The Toddfather told Matty in the interview that they're listening to the fan feedback and it seems like they have been to an extent, but it also seems like they're taking the state of the game too lightly.
SS shows how much potential the game has, but is it too late?

If the procedural generation is a blender, Bethesda just needs more things to throw into it. That's the game's biggest problem.
Once they do that, add some actual content that takes place in space. Give players a reason to fly around in their space ship.
The state of Starfield is nowhere near is dire as trolls would have you believe though. These are the same people who screamed to the high heavens about how Bethesda's game design was outdated when Starfield launched yet when the Fallout TV show came out, they were screaming at Bethesda for not having already released 5 more Fallout games.

Completely agree. I don't think the procedural is the worst idea, the problem is when they have like 3 abandoned mines, 2 abandoned cryo labs, etc. and you can see the exact same one a planet after you just went through it on another planet.

More space battles because the ship combat is good and much more zero g fighting. Easily one of the coolest shooter mechanics I've ever seen. We need more unique weapons and armor too. I vividly remember going to get Umbra in Oblivion. Starfield needs much more of that.

I hope it's just trolls and they're not deterred from continuing to bulk it up.
