I am still not clear on whether some classes are cross-faction, I.E. if you can be a bounty hunter aligned with the republic or a trooper/smuggler aligned with the Sith.

I think that's a clear no.

I might be interested.

Will the game have crafting? I was the first Master Weaponsmith/Master Armorsmith on my server (Intrepid) in SWG. I'd love to have a game to play with the resource and crafting intricacies of that game.

While I agree that it was in-depth and well-implemented, playing an artisan in SWG was about the most boring thing ever introduced to MMOs. If you enjoyed it, more power to you. Just seems like you would play games to escape the daily grind of mundane tasks.

It will have gathering and crafting professions that are standard through most MMOs now... probably won't include the extensive mining/waiting procedures of SWG. You're in the minority of people who want to wait for a harvester to gather minerals before you can use them to make weapons and armor.

Yeah, I'm a patient player. I liked being one of the few "go to" crafters on the server. Then again, in most MMOs dropped loot is better than crafted loot. For a long time in that game that was not the case and it never was with armor. You wanted reat armor you needed an armorsmith with the best resources. At my height I was cranking out 200+ suits of composite a week.

You're right it took a lot of time but there was a certain satisfaction in knowing how many players were out there gaming with my gear on.

And I'd be interested in this guild. Not sure if I'm rolling Jedi or Sith yet though. Depends on what happens with my former guild mates and also my wife/kids will probably be playing too.
