My gw got harder after the update but I am able to still complete it. I am running 6* qgj and 7* lumi, JC, Sid and cap phasma. Working on my b team 5* rey , 86, GS Han and daka. But getting their gear up and trying to star them is keeping me energy starved

Gear icon at top left. As long as you retreat before losing the fight, your guys go back how they were before (alive, same health).

No. Same battle. You can send in different group to try to take out one of their guys to make it an easier fight for your Ateam.
I'm So broke right now. More broke than I've ever been. 2k credits total. Guess I'll just work on gear and not worry about training for a while.

The opponent stays the same.
Also, if you restart with the same guys in the same positions and do the same moves, the fight will play out exactly the same. Changing anything reseeds the RNG to get different results.

Yep, I find it more of a puzzle than a fight sometimes. I use the same characters and move them around until I get it right.

Right on with the puzzle analogy.
I took out a fully upgraded 70 team with full health after and most of my cooldowns back up. Just had to find the right position and combo for my guys. Every other attempt before that ended in multiple of my A team dead.

A little tip for something I found. It costs 50 crystals to restore your battle energy and 100 crystals if you use it up and want to restore it again. But if you know your going to be gear or shard harvesting, you can buy a refill for 50 and another refill for 50 back to back. This will make the third refill cost 100 instead of the second. I found this the other day and forgot to mention it here.

The first two refills per day are always 50 whether you use the first one first or not. The first cantina refill is 100 and the second is 200.

I could have sworn that it was 50/100 if you ran out. You're the pro so I won't argue.
I got a chromium card Thursday and got a 4* tarkin. I spent almost all of my credits and energy hearing and training him. Thought maybe he could be my 5th DS toon. Got him up to lvl 6 gear and leveled up his skills and specials. I think I wasted my credits and time. At best, he's mediocre.
ETA: My 5* aayla continues to impress. She attacks as much as a dooku. I'm going to continue farming her until she starts getting beat. I started using my cantina energy to get shards for Kylo. Got 22 shards since Wednesday. the search will continue for that DS 5th, until then, I've gone as far as I can in the DS battles.

My DS 5 is Sid, Assaj, Phasma, Talia and Savage. Ive got 241 stars and im in the 3rd battle of the 7th stage.

That's a nice lineup. I wish had anything even close to that. My 5 right now are 7* asaaj, 7* Talia, 5* Cade, 4* DV and a 4* tarkin. Cade and DV are both pretty lame compared to other DS starters.

Tried a new lineup today with Asajj, Lumi, Fives, Talia, and swapping in Darth Maul for one's with multiple jedi, boba for blocking and JD if needed extra healer. Didn't lose a single player today and it was decent match ups starting after the 3rd battle.

I finally got 3 stars on the last lvl 7 DS hard mode mission, so I can fully farm Anakin now. It was hard making it through that mission at all, and wasting 20 energy and getting nothing sucked.
My DS team is HK-47, IG-88, IG86, GS, Daka, with a borrowed high level/geared Talia to finally get 3 stars.
