We need to set up a team and use voice chat of some kind

The shipping yard for instance we were killing it but while we were advancing along the side we were out of sync. Two people move straight. One against the wall keeps facing forward. One closer to the middle faces forward but checks corners left or right depending on the side

We won every time we were on the same team

I used the dpad buttons and the actual buttons instead of touch to draw all that. Easy to make words like that because you just click the dpad even amount of times and you can make it uniform.

Last night was spontaneous

We need to set up a team of 4 with some kind of voice chat and wreck people

Not for long stretches. We all have stuff going on.

I have a basic SOP procedure in mind for pretty much every map except humpback pumptrack...I fricking hate that course

The Aerospray just owns. I had a 8 match run last night where I was on the top and our team won. And this was with motion turned off playing handheld, which is a definite disadvantage.

Granted, I always ended up on a team that stuck together and knew what they were doing and that helps.

one match we won with 82% of the turf, that's nuts.

I really hate the foray towers, either I just suck at that map or i havent learned a great strategy yet, I did win it 2 times last night by rushing to the other teams spawn and hiding out around there inking their starting area and then hiding

it's one that requires coordination with team. everyone doing their own thing can result in some lopsided outcomes because it's hard to get behind the other team if they play it right.

it's the one I see the most paint on enemy turf but I think it's the most defensible map in the game.

yup.

when I see someone on my team with a sniper rifle and maybe a second with a really stupid weapon and the other team is aerosprays and dualies

I know I've lost already

2 years now, and I still can't get decent kills with any flavor of the sniper rifle.

I SO wanted to become a sniper player, as they can be the absolute difference maker on a lot of maps. I could just never get the rhythm down.

In Splatoon 1, I absolutely loved to play with the .96 and .56 gals. Different variations of the Splattershot (depending which type of ranked battle) were my goto, though. I also liked playing with brushes for kills, because you can basically defend yourself with the spray while killing if you're good with them.

I always wanted to be good at both chargers and blasters, because I've seen people who can just wreck with both. I could just never get the hang of either of them, though. I'm too slow to draw a bead with a charger and bad at evading if someone decides to come after me (I also like to be chaotic, move around, and disrupt the battlefield by charging into enemy turf and flanking). The blasters just never seemed effective for me. The rhythm was weird on them or something.

Some people are sick with it, but once you close ground on them they're screwed.

They're best as a control to snipe enemies off those elevated points of control such as the middle area of the inkling art academy map.

But unless you're playing a really coordinated team that's not really an effective use of a team member

Difference maker for the ones who don't miss. If you do miss and you're somewhere I can get to its over

Paint rollers and snipers are easy to take out unless they're really really good.

Buckets and dualies...enemies with those give me problems

I can kill that sniper any time. I think Academy is my highest win percentage on all modes. I can own the middle with the SS Pro, .52, or Squelcher Dualies.

I foresee a nerf incoming. And they should really change the special on that, that one is near gamebreaking combined with the gun.

I can own it with the aerospray. a sniper trying to own that is a sitting duck. i'm talking about if there's someone like you owning it a sniper can be a control against that.

of course you can switch weapons in lobby so there's no adjustments to what others are doing.

2 big flaws in the game.

by making you back out of the lobby it basically limits the weapon choices. because generally speaking I wouldn't use a host of weapons but I find myself in some matches where I would use them to adjust to what the other players are doing

1. voice chat which there are a number of workarounds if we really wanted to do it. skype, facetime audio, etc.

2. you must exit the lobby to switch weapons and gear. really frustrating. I know why you can't. keeps the pace of the fun going, but maybe just the ability to switch weapons. if you don't switch before the lobby fills, then it starts...no biggie
