RUMOR: Pokemon S&M may include Pokemon-Trainer fusion

It's really trivial and kind of stupid, but I want to know what the rant thinks on this whole thing.
There has been a recent reveal of Ash's Greninja looking just like him in screenshots, videos and everything. Idk if it was an episode or just a trailer or what (I don't watch the anime like I used to), but it's been hovering around and for good reason.
Usually, in the Japanese logos for Pokemon games, most recently XY-ORAS, there's a stone incorporated near the end or around the top middle that has been actually relevant to the game. The Japanese logos of XY and ORAS both had the Mega Evolution stone and Primal Reversion stone somewhere on their logo of the respective game. HOWEVER, in the Pokemon S&M titles, there is a stone nearly exactly where the other ones have been that looks eerily similar to a Pokemon manga I believe called reburst.
This manga features stones that the trainers carry around where they can literally, in essence, become 50% Pokemon, 50% man. Once I get on an actual computer I'll post pictures if someone doesn't beat me to it.
Digimon did something similar when I was a kid and I actually watched it and liked it. But this is a whole different animal, considering Pokemon has been around since the Windows 95 days.
If they incorporate something like this.....boy oh boy they're gonna have a divided fan base. My opinion personally? I wouldn't be salty about it. If it is done RIGHT there could be some interesting gameplay elements and it would give the teams (rocket, magma, plasma etc.) a lot of room to incorporate more mature story elements in a sense. That's just my outlook on it.

Thought this was a given? Didn't know it was just rumors.
Watch XY, it's not that bad.

I stopped watching after Ruby and Sapphire
I really don't think what happens in the XY battles in the anime really reflect the future of the games though. I always thought it was the other way around.
