remember E3?
I'd be down for the MGS3 remake. I liked my time with it back in the day but had problems with the last fight and dropped off, never went back. The fight mechanics for The End boss fight were sooooooo good.

A new report claims that Konami is planning to reveal a new Castlevania and a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake at this year's E3.
According to Andy Robinson, speaking on the VGC Podcast, Konami is planning to have a "pretty big E3," claiming that a new Castlevania is set to appear, alongside the much-rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. "There's a new Castlevania in addition to the Dead Cells DLC they announced at The Game Awards," Robison explained. "And there's this much discussed Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, which I also expect them to finally show."
In terms of the other older Metal Gear Solid games potentially being playable on modern platforms, Robinson said that as of one year or two years ago, being able to do so in some shape or form was in the cards, but it's now "less clear," what the situation is. "I would imagine that Metal Gear Solid 3, the remake, is going to be somewhat of a testbed for that," Robinson said.
Robinson also noted how Konami is "opening up to collaborating with more developers," though it wasn't clear if he was just talking about the Silent Hill series, or Konami's wider portfolio as well.
Some kind of Metal Gear Solid 3 remake has been rumored for a long while now, but there's been no official comment from Konami on the matter. Last October, the also long-rumored and repeatedly leaked Silent Hill 2 remake was revealed, which is being developed by Layers of Fear studio Bloober Team. Also revealed at the time was Silent Hill F, the first game in the series to bring the story to Konami's native Japan, and Silent Hill: Townfall, which comes from the indie studio No Code.

I honestly hadn't heard these rumors, or at least remembered them, so wasn't pining for the remake but I'll take it.

I have the Dead Cells Castlevania DLC preordered.
Just give me SOTN on the Switch and turn out the lights on your way out.

Speaking of remakes, not sure if you have a switch and are a fan of the Metroid series, but the Metroid Prime remaster is top notch.

I do. My son doesn’t use his so I’m about to acquire that one. I was hoping the new Zelda would force a new Switch model but I don’t see that happening. I’ll snag Metroid for sure.

Why would they not remake MGS1 first?

2 and 3 still look good enough at 4k and 60 FPS.
And no, The Twin Snakes doesn't count.

There are rumors of an upgraded Switch dropping end of 2023.

Don't trust Castlevania to be any good without Igarashi. Hopefully it turns out good tho.

Speaking of which, is there a Bloodstained sequel in the works?

Sounds like there's a rumor they will announce the sequel to Ritual of the Night sometime this year (prob E3). Really hope that's the case. The first game was damn good.

Shouldnt they maybe remake Metal Gear 1 and 2 first ya know? Like RE is doing? I know 3 is popular but 1 and 2 are great games.
