I haven't used one for 3DS or 2DS but do some Google searching for "3ds flash card". Consult Youtube as well. Just be careful what you buy and where you buy from. The sites that sell them are typically on the shadier side.

You could try the Homebrew method.
Not sure if they are still around, but you could also try using an R4. I used to have one for my DS Lite, so I am not sure if they make them anymore.

quote:Unless someone here has done it personally, you're just going to have to read up and take a shot at it. Flashcarts are far more niche than setting up a Raspberry Pi, which seems to have become a bit of a fad lately, likely in response to Nintendo's inability to keep their "classic" consoles in stock.

In my experience, hacking your consoles to play game backups, roms, etc. is 90% research and 10% actually doing the steps. The issue is that the 3DS is still a supported system by Nintendo which means they've still been releasing firmware updates to combat exactly what you are attempting to do.
I would read through this Reddit post:

...and this guide to 3DS Hacking:

And then give it a try if you feel confident.

I’ve been researching ROMs for our SNES classic and about to give it a go. Since I can’t find a NES Classic my idea is to put the games I want on the snes.
Really want to put NES and SNES games on my Vita...
