Do they automatically plug the worst teammates ever in 2s when you are approaching diamond status? I swear I get on the hottest streak averaging 4 to 6 hundred pts a game and I automatically get awarded the dumbest most horrible teammates for 5 games in a row. How the heck am I supposed to rank up? And I don’t even get awarded points when I’m dominating rhe entire game but still lose because my partner is completely useless.

Rocket League solo queuing is for masochists. You're best off finding some buddies to run with or teaming up with the one good teammate you find a session. Smurfs are very abundant in diamond so be prepared when you do make it there.

Getting to diamond is the hardest solo-queuing in 2's. You can hide a lesser skilled teammate in 3's, but not 2's. Once you hit diamond 2, it's relatively easy to stay there as the randoms are more invested in winning. Your best bet is to find a random that communicates and see if they want to squad up if you don't have any friends that play or are good enough to compete in diamond.
