RINGS OF DEATH

So I finally got the rings of death. Here is the deal as i am on the phone with the non english speaking customer service rep she gets me to unplug everything a few times and then all of a sudden its its just one ring. Here is where it gets funny they then try and tell me that if its just one ring then I have to pay 100 to get this fixed. I told the manager that this is just another easy fix way to change from 3 to 1 ring and to make money of of us. I really gave them a hard time told them that if they get the machine and it cost 100 to fix just send it back to me so I can dispose of the Microsoft crap myself. I really think this is all a big joke that for 400 all you get is maybe a year before it costs you money to fix this crap!

use xbox.com so you don't have to deal with them.

just one ring
Do some google searching and you can find a way to overheat it so it will give you the 3rings again

Fragments, run on sentences, and a general lack of regard for the rules of grammar make this post annoyingly difficult to read.

Read this, then post. Microsoft is a corporation, so you'll never get sympathy from them. IMO

I try not to get into the whole 360/PS3 debate, but if you have to
then maybe you should get a different system.

If your PS3 breaks after a year you are shite out of luck.

I can deal with that. All I'm trying to say is that if you bought a game system that has a history of crashing, and it crashes, then maybe you should get a different system.
I had a buddy who said I was stupid for buying a PS3, but he was on his third 360 because he got the Rings of Death on his first 2(you tell me who the stupid one was). The Rings of Death were the main reason I bought a PS3. I'm happy for it.

1-800-4my- xbox.
they took care of me and i only paid like 40 bucks. they found out i had a warranty on my 360 and they refunded the money back to my account. they might be able to fix it over the phone with you too because sometimes all you have to do is unplugged the power source, dissconnect your hardrivem put it back on and power up. that got rid of my rings for a while until i had to send it in to them. they even send you a box to send it in if you dont have your box.

when I got my rings of death I just sent it to my friend who is really good with computers and such, and he fixed it with pennies, super glue, and tape. I know that it sounds kind of wierd but he got it done.
