I'm absolutely stuck. I've checked every single room again. I've got a battery and the red jewel and need either the jack for the library or crank for the roll up door.

Pretty sure I did. But what's another round

Can’t remember what the room is called, but there’s a room where u climb up on a box through a window. In that room with the box, there’s a chained door. That’s the one I missed for awhile

In general even if you know a door is locked it's helpful to try to open it at least once, as it marks it on the map as locked with an appropriate annotation (chained, or which key opens it, etc.)

Interesting. Did not know that. Thanks

The little “hints” that they give you about Mr. X being in the house leading up to your first encounter really freak me out

So we missed the same exact door??
I think it’s bc once you get through that area, you really don’t go in that room for much. Then you get the cutters and you never think to go back there and check. I just happened to see it on the map lol

So I've got the 3 talisman now. But I never got the heart or spade key...not sure if I head down if I get the chance at that stuff again.
Or the damn USB to get that 50 call.

Yeah just head down. You’ll see why eventually. And I still haven’t found the USB lol

The funny thing is when I got back in this morning I thought let me go check that room and the press briefing room in the other side. When I got to the room we missed I forgot I had bunched up like 4 walkers in there so I had about 3 seconds to scan before I had to hop back out the window and then miss it again

I have a hard time getting into this game, the inventory space is too limited and after a couple hours it's mostly a treasure hunt, retracing your steps over and over.

This is a purposeful design choice and has always been a staple of the "survival horror" genre. If somebody hasn't played games in the genre I can see how this may be frustrating but think about why they do it like that.
They don't want you to be a walking arsenal plowing your way through the game. They want you to skimp on carrying around excess weapons/ammo/healing so you'll actually have room to pick up key items and such.
It's also done as a pacing mechanic.
The inventory management in this game is actually MUCH more forgiving than the old school RE games.
You get frequent inventory capacity upgrades.
You can actually discard items if you so choose (you couldn't in the old ones)
Item boxes are more plentiful throughout.
Stick with it, you'll get pretty frequent upgrades that expand your inventory and assuming you don't try to carry every thing you find around at all times, you shouldn't really have space issues very frequently.

The knife absolutely wrecks the bosses. No joke.

Did you not play the classic PS1 RE games?
Seems like a lot of people expected this to play just like RE4.
