Recommend a VR FLIGHT SIMULATOR setup for my father

Dad is a huge flight simulator junkie. Just discovered how immersive the VR headset experience can be but I have no clue on what is what.
What setup would you go with for a memorable experience? I need recommendations on both hardware and software. I would like to consider price but it’s not completely a deterrent if it’s a little pricey.

I have an Oculus (Meta) Quest 2 headset and can confirm that it is pretty awesome for flight sims. There are a couple of "basic" native flight sims you can run directly on the headset, but for the full experience I would strongly recommend a PC sim. The Quest can be hooked into the PC and games that support it will run on the headset.
I have Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane 11, and both of them are pretty fantastic. Flight Simulator will require a pretty hefty PC to run well, but it is well worth it. X-Plane will run well on a PC with way lower specs and is still a pretty amazing experience.

I need to check out War Thunder... heard a lot about it but still never tried it.
DCS is a good call too, but be prepared... you would probably be qualified to fly actual fighter jets IRL if you master that one.

War thunder is pretty chill. Now it has tanks, navy, and air combat. And it’s pretty easy to learn and can go from arcade style gameplay to more sim like.
DCS is basically true to life sim

LOL yeah I bought the UH-1H Huey DLC for DCS world and I still haven't mastered the engine startup procedure after hours.

I’m just sitting here waiting on the fricking wings of thunder psvr2 game to come out. It’s essentially a smaller version of war thunder vr. Idk why they can’t figure out how to get the vr to work with the ps port version but here we are.
