Question about game cheats

I’ve never been multiplayer gamer and I do understand the dilemma with game cheats and multiplaying gaming in the past.
However, as a single player I loved cheats for two reasons. Games I found too difficult I could get through AND I really enjoyed taking a slow casual ‘walking tour’ through the game where I could notice the environment and what went into making a great game.
It seems like for the longest time gamers would rush through games AS FAST AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE to be able to claim they beat ‘fill in the blank’ game in record time!
Especially with first person shooters. Did you even see any of the game itself or were you too busy to get through the game as quickly as possible?
That all being said I am now into the Quest 2 VR gaming. I’ve heard of ‘trainers’ and hacks, etc., but I was wondering are there any cheat codes anymore or trainers or anything like that for VR games?

I don’t know anything about VR gaming, but no one cares if you cheat in a single-player game.

How does a game being difficult prevent you from appreciating the game? If anything, I think cheats would allow you to just blow through an entire game.

That's what I use for single player games like AC and what not when I get bored.

Has anyone actually played any amount of GTA 3-5 without the weapons cheat? It's nowhere near as fun.

I will never use any amount of cheating to get through any progress in a game, but I really like cheats in the form of goldeneye and perfect Dark where you can strive to unlock them and use them to mess around later without tarnishing your progress.
