Traded in some air miles for a PS4 Pro console. I have always played Xbox and am curious about the Uncharted series. Any suggestions on PS4 exclusives I should look into? Thanks

I've thought many times about buying a ps4 just to play last of us, would rather just put up a craigslist ad and rent it from someone.

Heck, it is worth is just for Last of Us.
I bought a PS4 with PSVR just so I could play Last of Us and Resident Evil 7. After playing, it was worth it although probably not for most folks until the PSVR has more folks producing big titles.
I loved Uncharted 4. I went back and played 1-3 after playing 4. A little tough to go back in time to where the gameplay mechanics hadn't been ironed out. That really only hurt my play through of 1. They made huge changes for the second game.
Also enjoyed Tomb Raider. I think my next purchase will probably be Rise of the Tomb Raider then probably Horizion.

Skip OG Uncharted. Get the story on youtube or something. U2 and 3 are fun. U4 is great.

Uncharted series for sure, one of the best series in the history of Playstation.
Then play The Last Of Us after that.

Great cinematics, top-notch story telling, and exciting action sequences. For some of us, the sequences became repetitive, and for me, the 3rd person shooting wasn't fun.
I'm not as big a fan as most of the series, but I understand why they're so popular.

The final island was a bit too much. They did the exact same thing with Last of Us where you could see the final destination then once there, it wasn't the final destination.

Uncharted and The Last of Us are both developed by Naughty Dog. They're probably the best developer Sony "owns" next to Santa Monica Studios (God of War). Why people think the Uncharted series is trash is beyond me. Once you get immersed into the story, the lackluster shooting doesn't seem all that bad.

I just don't understand why the story is so lauded. It's a run of the mill adventurer-seeking-treasure tale. The villains are all terrible and it sticks to the same old genre tropes.
4 was a step in the right direction, but 1-3 were just very mediocre games.

well i guess the same could be said for the last of us then. it's basically the same mechanics with the ability to craft and scavenge.

Last of Us has a very run of the mill story and setting, but it absolutely nails the execution of the narrative. That is the difference

I actually think the new Tomb Raiders are better from a gameplay/mechanics perspective
