so i played the beta for about 30 minutes last night
the game seems to work pretty well but i did notice a few figs under the map killing me
also, the killcam bullshite is just stupid, i can count the guys nosehairs
i did find myself kinda bored with it after a couple matches though, maybe bc of the map repetition
the icons on players are so small sometimes its hard to determine friend vs. foe
i think vehicles will add a lot to the game, but i still don't know if it can hold my attention
getting sniped and having no idea where that person is is pretty maddening

I'm wondering if the sniping will be really bad on a map like the Caspian Border one that's so wide open.

IMO the game isn't really built for close combat, but it could work.
BF was always better for large maps with a bunch of vehicles.
I only played a few matches last night. One of which lasted what seemed like 45 minutes. I went 50/50, was playing with FightingTigers(numbers). Having team mates that can communicate and have strategy made the game funner. Also being able to spawn onto your group is a cool feature that allows some strategy in itself.
the one thing i do really like is you really have to grind it out to win, but the game gives you time to do it. You have to continually spawn where your team mates are and keep pushing up your position.
in comparison its similar to Homefront or MAG, just better.

the game constantly changes. some games will have people who blow up every vehicle on sight, some will be dominated by vehicles, some will snipe and never be found, etc etc
that's why i always liked the BF series. It offers a lot of variability in the game play.
Unlike COD's, which is a close up shooter for the most part. however tac-shanking is mixing it up i guess.

You gonna be unleashing suicide attack dogs while guys try to 720 quickscope you?? Now THAT'S how a sniper acts...

The one thing I need to get used to as well. Anytime I get close to it, I get dropped pretty quickly.

You need to play a little more...get used to what people might do on the different sections. Unlock some stuff.

I didn't know you liked BF games. I always preferred CoD to BF when the Bad Company games were out. BF3 feels a little different...and I likes it. :homefront:
