The swooping parts of Spider-Man are incredible. Everything else starts to feel repetitive after a while.

It's not a very good game, but it is a game you get to play, unlike Uncharted Series.

Let's not pretend Uncharted is Metal Gear. It has its cut scenes, but there is still plenty of gameplay.

I kind of felt bad starting a new thread but it would have taken quite a while to find the old ones. After looking up several sets of keywords the most information I had found was people saying "the PS4 exclusives are way better" but very few games were actually mentioned.
On top of that, I trust y'all more than I trust stupid blogs that show up in a google search

It's not a PS4 exclusive, but the Witcher 3 was awesome.
Also, enjoy God of War. The story compliments the action so, so well.

God of war was pretty cool. After my play through though something bugged me. And I realized it was the world tried to portray it was a lot bigger than it really was in terms of what you could traverse, and that bothered me a bit, but it’s a solid game once you get to....”that part”.
Nier Automata and Bloodborne are really the top tier of the bunch all things considered. The combat is clean, the worlds are great, the few main and supporting characters are pretty cool and the weapons to choose from are dope. Spider-Man was really fun for me too but I’m a grinder given my background in JRPGs, so Spider-Man with all of its fetch quests and arena beat em ups for rewards here and there won’t be for everyone.

Great list. I'll add Nioh and the Dark Souls games on here, even tho they aren't exclusives. Started Nioh recently and its phenomenal.

ETA I don't like Carson because, IMO, he has really bad opinions on games that I really like. So to hell with him

Don't think it's very fair to use this as main criticism for most players. Vast majority aren't going to go for the platinum and thus wouldn't experience the annoyance of grinding for the trophy.
But don't worry about that. OP should just play Nier instead.

If you can handle the art style of Code Vein, then you should add that one as well. It has a similar gameplay style, but they made it different enough to be fun. It's not nearly as difficult as those other games though.

I don't have affinities for certain genres, I just like quality games. I'll give pretty much anything a shot if I think it looks good. the only JRPGs I really like are older Final Fantasy games, I'm not into cartoony turn-based stuff at all. I gave Persona 5 a shot bc of the reviews and got overwhelmed and quit.
so im not sure where the JRPG comment is coming from, unless you consider the Souls games JRPG

Ubisoft might be the best developer our there now.

I officially unsubsribed to anything Giant Bomb. Their video content has been garbage since the year started and I only got through 2 and half days of the GOTY pods before I wanted to throat punch everyone on it, minus maybe Vinny. I'm just over them hating everything, with Alex giving "it fricking sucks arse" reviews, stuff I can get from this board. They're not fun anymore. Gardoki and I have talked about it a good bit, and he wonders "do they even like games anymore? It's hard to tell."
