My wife is a PS4 Destiny player (333/40 Titan and a 320/40 'Lock. She is looking for another clan to run with on Destiny. Average player, not super with PVP but doesn't do too bad. Prefer adult type clan due to language outbursts on occasion (no turrets but the occasional F-Bomb can be dropped).

Central time zone is a plus...She likes to play 3-4 times a week in the evening.

ETA: Sorry, no pix of wife.

TIA

this isn't the OT

Most of us are on hiatus but there should be a big group returning for rise of iron.

LOL...Yeah I know it's not the OT...but you always have the occasional passer-by who drops in...so I figured I'd be ready.

She's already pre-bought Rise and is ready.

Clans exist but are pointless.

I'm sure the members of clans like Resolute would disagree with this.

I imagine they wouldn't be if they'd implement a duty finder.

It's honestly ridiculous that they even made the game without one.

I think you're of the opinion that it wouldn't work. Like Destiny is the first game ever to deal with "difficult" end game content.

Random matchmaking wouldn't work, duty finder can work If.done correctly much like lfg does. Of course even then it's a giant pain in the arse that often ends in failure.

So here's some things that DF does in 14 that I wonder would help something like that work in Destiny:

-Certain content requires minimum item level, so you can't even register if you don't have it.

-If you quit out of a duty (rage quit or you're just trolling), you banned from DF for 30 minutes. At least that's for the first offense, not sure if it stacks if you keep doing it.

-If you have a party member who's just not carrying their weight or just screwing around, someone can initiate a "kick player" vote that everyone has to vote yes on, and that player is gone. Then it's a matter of waiting for DF to find a replacement.

Failed runs are just going to happen. Sometimes you get a good group, sometimes it blows. And often times you end up with a player that you would like to keep running with, so you add them to your friends list and now you have another steady player. I find it hard to believe that in a world of complex MMO's that have this feature, Destiny is too complex for that system to be viable.

I don't think anyone said destiny is too complex for it.

I think the feature to kick someone would be huge. I don't find trolling to be a big issue. Lfg lets you set a level requirement but often times it's hard for everyone to meet that level so you settle. An in game finder might help with that.

When we've discussed it before, you've said the raids are have so much going on that running them with pugs might be a nightmare. And probably so, but I'd still rather risk an occasional fail and still have the option of running that content without having to organize a bunch of people.

Like I said, it is often a nightmare, doesn't mean it shouldn't exist as long as it isn't straight random like strikes are.
