Those were just rumors, Sony never actually gives a date or anything, the update will just pop up one morning one of these days.
They said this week because of that new headset launching which uses the same wireless as the Pulses so if Sony is launching a new PS4 headset it means the update has to be coming any day to actually use that new headset.
