Question about the tablets with Android. Can you upgrade the OS every time a new Android comes out?

I got my son (4) a Kurio 7S. It doesn't have Wireless access, so the only way to access certain internet apps is via Wireless Network Access. It also has stuff on there that you can set to restrict access to anything over like E rated material if that's something you want. It can take pictures, play music, record video, etc. It's a really solid tablet for kids. It's Android based and has a marketplace set up like the google play store, but it's called Kurio One or something like that.

We got my oldest an RCA tablet and it runs android. Cool little tablet for what he uses it for, which is temple run and you tube
