Are you surprised at how much you enjoy the show you wrote off for so long?

We both looked at each other last night and said "Remember when we didn't want to watch this show because of the dragons?" And now all we do is wait for dragons and tits.

Can someone explain to me why Jamie is so important? Is it because he's a Lanister? I know he's the sister banger and his sister really wants him returned...but what's his importance? Does he threaten Joffrey's throne because he's the more senior male heir? Why do they call Jamie "King Slayer"? I think I missed that part way in the beginning.

Jamie killed the Targaryen King (mad King) which put King Robert in place.
