Do you have a plain router or a G or N? Upgrading the router might help but it also depends on which service plan you have.

i played wireless on one just like that for the longest without near the problems you have
if it doesnt kick you out of psn, there is probably no reason to reset the router
sometimes you just get kicked from the game, it happens to everyone here and there, just send a message and we'll back out and get you

Tell your in-laws to upgrade their plan and make sure no one else is stealing your shite. That was the cause of my problems a few weeks ago.

nah, it signs me out of PSN
it's a DNS problem every time it does it.
when i lived in my own house, i never had a problem with this router doing this

they have one of the best plans Cox provides
I tested the internet speed a while back, before this started happening, and it was very fast
Peen even says he's noticed the difference...that it's slowed down

Maybe you got too many obstacles between the router and the ps3.

how do i get rid of said obstacles.
and what type of obstacles are you referring to? Walls? Baby monitor? Microwave?

have you tried the speed test on the playstation itself?

You could give your ps3 a static ip, go to the router settings page and enable dmz, put the ps3 ip for the dmz.

i took the router to my IT guy here at work, and he didn't do this, but i think this may be the way to go.
I'll probably bring the router and my ps3 to work tomorrow so that he can diagnose the issue while having both present
ETA: going to lunch..be back in a bit

I've always had the same internet package. I had a wirelss b router at first....shite was bad.
I bought a G, and it was a lot better, but I still had to hardwire. The G would cut out and it wasn't but 35-40 feet away through two walls.
