we have plenty of blockbuster experiences coming your way on PS4, including Death Stranding

I know it was not mentioned at PS4 launch, but it feels like it was and finally releasing at the end of the cycle

One thing I found cool is the feature to be able to download and delete certain parts of the game.

Sweet. Now Call of Duty can ship with the campaign that 6 people actually care about and the rest can just delete it. That's a win/win for everyone.

It will be if they announce this thing at 700 fricking dollars.

You'd be better off building a $700 steambox

If anything, people are more price sensitive for mass market entertainment. It's not viewed like phones, but through the lenses of F2P monetization and Steam (and subscription services like GamePass/PS Now/Humble), which has devalued video games. I'd argue that what peoples are asking for more than ever while also wanting to pay nothing to jump in.

There are 2 models releasing, the PS5 and PS5 Pro.

I'll guess $449 for base PS5 and $549 for the Pro.

The $499 Xbox One price tag is what started the downward spiral for MSFT this generation. Sony specifically came in $100 lower (taking a loss on console) to undercut X1. I highly doubt Sony will let MSFT to the same back to them.

The specs of PS5 and Scarlett are pretty much mirror images. Some interesting differences though

- Sony has better exclusives from PS4 vs. Microsoft having a larger BC library going back to x360 and Xbox

- Sony's new controller sounds like a sweet improvement vs. you can use your X1 controllers on Scarlett as well.

- Can Halo recapture the magic and make Xbox Great Again. Halo put Xbox on the map and Halo Infinite will be a launch title. 343 has had some much deserved criticism, but MSFT game them 5 years to right the wrongs.

- Microsoft and Sony have actually joined forces to collaborate and share in the world of streaming. They probably want to cut Google off at the knees.

- MSFT is still rumored to go with 3 different options for consoles. Cheap to badass, will Sony follow suit?

It was announced in 2016. That is not that long for a triple A original IP these days. Especially from a brand new studio.

Meh, Xbox did that to themselves with the dumb Kinect sensor being forced. That thing was $100 alone.

Sony always releases their console at a cost at launch. The PS4 was actually less of a loss than previous gens for them.

If you can't afford the new console at $599 in 2020 after 7 years of life with the PS4 and with a forward announcement months ahead of time with the release date and price, you must be living paycheck to paycheck.

The kinect is not an accessory! It's mandatory!

Year after launch: We are no longer bundling the Kinect with the Xbox One.

They really did.

I got ripped by the Xbots for saying the DVR function was stupid as shite as people are cutting cable in droves.

That was back pre-launch, now look at cable.

Some real gems in those threads.

Has nothing to do with what I can afford. Im talking about what the market will pay and people are not going to buy their children a $600 or $700 video game console (which by the way nice of you to quote my $700 and lower it to $600) for Christmas.

BTW since you wen't full retard, 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
