Got an older gaming pc I built years ago that needs an update. 2700x/Vega 64.

What do you baws think of these parts?

Honestly it seems pretty expensive for a home build since you still need a case, SSD, and a power supply. But it will be more than powerful enough for what you want and probably future proofed for more than a few years.

Just going to reuse what I have now for that part of things.

If you're confident it's adequate for these components that would make sense

Yeah, PSU is 850W, should be fine according to the part picker. Just have to figure out how to mount the water cooler. Just have a regular fan in there right now.

Any reason you're not just updating the bios and slapping in a 58003xd? Not that up-to-date on some stuff, but it seems weird pairing that with a 7800xt.

Pay up for a 7900xt in the $720 range or just get a 6800xt for $450

7800xt at that price point doesn’t make a ton of sense

i have no dog in this fight but I always end up just saving the $$$$ so I would go for the 6800XT if this were me. in 3 years you may need a 7900XT but you'll be able to find a better card for $450 then than the $720 card now.

and its always fun buying new parts. if u pay $720 for a card now you may be hesitant to buy a new one even when u do need one
