Need some TS help.

I was switching my gaming PC to another case (O11 Dynamic XL) and now it will not power on. Zero life.

Everything was going smooth, booted normally and then it cut to black with zero life.

Disconnected everything down to test bench style and when the 24 pin plug is inserted, the motherboard has life.

When I plug in the 8 pin CPU plug the power supply switches into protection mode and I can hear the relays clicking.

24 only, normal op.

24 and 8 pin CPU. No joy.

I switched power supplies and same activity.

So I'm assuming either motherboard died or CPU circuit died. Hoping it's not the CPU. (Ryzen 9 5900)

You sure you're using the cpu 8ping and not the gpu 8pin?

I think this one is above my pay grade, so just stopping in to say that’s a beautiful case, and dealing with this kind of issue is ducking brutal. Here’s to hoping there’s a relatively easy fix

Same case I have! Love it, so much fricking room!

Good luck, try the power supply trick with your fan to make sure its working.

Only issue I have is that the dust filters are kind of shitty. They let in way too much dust for how restrictive they are. Currently considering custom making some of my own.

It was the motherboard. It's fricked.

Hey, at least that's better than it being the cpu

Very very very rare does the CPU ever go out, thankfully

Oh for sure. After troubleshooting narrowed it down to board and CPU, I think I lucked out.

Unless you frick up a pin, but that’s usually pretty obvious
