I don't want a reference cooler especially in ITX.
Besides that I am bidding on an auction to get two of them for about $900 maybe. I will flip the other one.

I'll post what I'm looking at so far. Nothing set in stone.
Keep in mind, this is a work/business computer that I'd like to be able play games on, not a "gaming PC" per se. I figured some of you my be able to help me find better parts for the $ though. Trying to keep it in the $800 range
Samsung 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 120GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5 $89.99
Thermaltake TR2 Series 600 Watt ATX Power Supply
$49.99 $34.99
after Rebate
AMD FX 8320 Black Edition 3.5GHz AM3+ Boxed Processor $99.99
Diablotek EVO Mid Tower ATX Computer Case
$36.99 (couldn't care less about tower as long as my hardware fits and it has ventilation)
MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ ATX AMD Motherboard
$79.99
$69.99
after Rebate
Kingston Hyper X Red 8GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800) CL 9 $84.99 (will upgrade to 32 eventually, in the meantime, should I go with 4*4GB or 2*8GB?)
EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti w/ G-SYNC Support 2GB GDDR5 128bit, Dual-Link, DVI-I, HDMI, DP Graphics Card (02G-P4-3751-KR) $157.93
Haven't decided on cooling yet and I'll also add either 1 or 2 TD hard drive in addition to the SSD
I'm sure this will all get picked apart. Which is fine. That's what I'm looking for

Just make sure your mobo will support it.
I would also think you can get a cheaper 120GB SSD these days. The ADATA are pretty nice and some are faster than the Samsung EVOs.
What is your budget?
ETA: I am about to sell my mobo and 8GB of memory and may even sell all 16GB if you want it. I also have a 120GB SSD I will sell. I also have an H40 which will let you OC that 8320.

800 ish
Yeah, the RAM support was the first thing I checked on the mobo to make sure it could handle 32. 16 would be plenty I'm sure, but 32 would be nice
I saw a SanDisk 120 for about 75 but the reviews weren't the best on it

Have you thought about adding a section about streaming/recording game play? Just curious since I was thinking about recording some to mess around with it.

I would take ssd reviews with a grain of salt. Just about every one of them is built with the same controller and parts. My sandisk is about to be 2 years old and still running like a chap

Here is what I have left to sell

Is it just me or have ssd prices been down lately?

Someone buy my 290x and 6950s... I may be going to pick up that PC today
Posted on 2/23/14 at 1:21 pm to stout
That's cool. I'm not sure I'm interested in OC at this point. Would that 8320 work fine without it?
I don't want to push this one too much. Just play some games at decent settings.

What are you selling that jet engine (290X) for?
Posted on 2/23/14 at 1:22 pm to SaintLSUnAtl
Yea the 8320 is good. It's just a lower binned 8350.
Posted on 2/23/14 at 1:22 pm to Mr Gardoki
Let me see what I paid for it. I got a deal on it I think.
ETA: I paid $12 plus shipping for it
I did take the shrink wrap off to make sure it was all good since it was so cheap.

Any thoughts on the other parts I chose? I was just trying to find the best for the budget I have (obvious statement is obvious)

Where did you find it so cheap?
