Have you tried returning to stock settings before you shut down to test it?
Posted on 5/26/13 at 4:55 pm to Mr Gardoki
It's difficult to reproduce the problem, though, because it doesn't do it every single time. Sometimes it just double posts. Sometimes it boots with no problem. It catches me off guard when it happens (because I don't shut down often), and I forget about it until it happens again
. And now that I really think about it, even a part swap wouldn't give me an absolute diagnosis unless I were to use the part for like a month.
But now that it's on my mind, I'm going to bring everything back to stock. Then I'll look down upon my computer and shame it into fixing itself.
I have a mobo post tester somewhere in a junk drawer. Not relevant/useful to this situation, unfortunately.
I do need a new PSU tester, though. Have no clue where mine has gone (it was a good one). I'm thinking I left it at my parent's house in Florida. Even still, PSU tester is a poor substitute for a part swap unfortunately.

Don't want to derail any subject you guys have going on..
..but anyone else is bored with gaming as of late? I'm struggling to find a game that catches my attention anymore. My main deal is MMOs but just no good MMOs out there.. (Maybe GW2?)
Who else is experiencing this gaming low?

Yeah, incredibly so. I've been playing tons and tons of portal 2 community tests. I have Sleeping Dogs I've yet to play. I guess I could try that. But yeah, bored. And when that's the case, I get reluctant to upgrade. I need to find another hobby that requires expensive PC hardware.

I haven't been able to get in a gaming rhythm lately but I think that's because of my schedule. Back half of this year should pick up though.

Hopefully Day-Z stand alone offers us this!

I have been really bored of games. I will hit a lull every now and then and it is usually around summer time like this. It's also why I am looking for shite to do like building my Xbox laptop and why I think I am about to order one of these.

I've been playing civ and bf3 all the time. Still loving every minute of them!

Yea. You can reball and reflow solder on anything.
There are a few more things I need to get with it though.

CPU will play a huge factor in overall score.
I can get 10200 with 1 7950/8320.
If I had a 2011 socket I'm sure 11500 would be possible. Those 7950s are awesome cards, just flag you a custom BIOS if it is voltage locked.

I almost went cheaper on it but that one is the easiest to find parts for and in a decent price range.
If I get good I might buy a bigger/better one later but looking on Youtube this one is what a lot of people use.
I ordered it last night so it should be here within a week!

I'm thinking about building another PC.
My only problem is that I'll be moving a lot in the next two years.
Would it be a huge hassle to have move my setup 3 or 4 times in that time frame? Or maybe just buy a gaming laptop?

oh yeah, no doubt, but those scores were just the graphic scores. Thats really exciting considering that I'll be coming from a sub 4200 graphics score with the stock 650ti
