Not this board huh?

OT or RANT? I do not speak of the SEC Rant because that is a zoo.

EDT:
I know we talk about other shtt more than college football, but damn it is games like this Sugar Bowl which make college football my favorite damn thing ever.

They whacked a thread on here earlier within like a minute. I think they are on high alert for the recruiting board today.

Where was this OU team all year? I watched the first half. I loaded up borderlands at halftime and forgot about the game until now

Yeah because of the AA game today.

Ppl always go bat shtt crazy talking shtt. I love recruiting and follow it heavily, but I do not get caught up with those losers. Most of the big posters on those boards seem a little "thrown off since birth" and probably never played any organized sports at even the HS lvl. Just the lvl of delusion from the 2003+ oil rig workers that EVERY KID IN AMERICA LOVES THEIR SCHOOL is scary.

TBH, I don't care about sports that much. LSU football is the extent of it. I only joined this board back in 2008 because I was the editor-in-chief of a local magazine here, and I was given the idea that it might be useful to just lurk for local happenings and shite, maybe occasionally post about relevant topics covered in that week's print. I had no intention of being active or staying. But the OT got me hooked.

Dude I was bitching about shitty writers and terrible editors yesterday.

My good friend had a 3 page article written about him in the local Houma/Thibodaux/Assumption (Bayou Area) magazine. Forget what it is called...

Anyway, the writer was fckking terrible. She flowered up the damn article so much it became lies. She took a simple story and made this dude look like an artist or some sort of 1 of a kind craftsman. It was a complete fail on every level IMO. This magazine is terrible but it just ate at me that a local writer in such a small community like ours would just basically lie.

Was the interviewer young, maybe a student? That's the problem with the local non-daily publications. They don't have the budget to pay real journalists, so they recruit aspiring writers, aka liberal arts majors and freelancers who also work a day job at Kinkos -- people who know very little about interviewing, fact-checking, and writing in AP style (not just the syntax, but sentence structure and organization). Not that "real" journalists make much money at your average daily metro paper, since a lot of the dailies are starting to see how much cheaper it is to just have a giant pool of 1099ers who get paid per assignment. Regardless, it's a soul-sucking industry.

I majored in English, so I knew to avoid hiring English majors (I didn't ask them their major. I could just spot them from a mile away).

Man I don't feel like leaving my house and doing anything today but I have payroll and other shite to do.

I'd rather shite in my hands and clap then have to do anything at all today. That's how unmotivated I am.

You guys think an office chair will be fine without a carpet mat?

I don't use one, but I also DGAF about this carpet. It's cheap, slightly above apartment grade, and will certainly be replaced when we decide to sell the house.

EDIT: It hasn't really hurt the carpet as far as I can tell.
