Well, after putting it off forever I finally went ahead and upgraded most of my system. Just made a nice order on newegg for some pretty good shite. Anyone running anything listed here on an OC care to comment I'd appreciate it. Oh, and I'm cooling with a corsair H100i.

That's not too bad. Have you tried using catalyst or radeon pro AA?

Glad to have you over here, what are you doing with this build?

I tried Morphological filtering. Did nothing. Other than that, I have not tried any settings outside of the game.

Looks good to me. The Haswell is powerful. Nothing faster without going to Socket 2011.
Let me know if you have any questions about OCing the 4770k. It's a very different experience from OCing Ivy or Sandy -- though those differences don't really show until you're trying to achieve a 4.4GHz+ OC. What's the batch number on it? (it's on the CPU box where all the serial number shite is, and it starts with an L)
Any particular reason for choosing the motherboard?

I don't game. Just an electronics junkie who likes to build custom PCs and OC. I just love all electronics really. Photoshop a lot.
I'm running a fractal arc midi tower that is gutted and customized with sheet metal panels, multi-24 character led readout displays for system info., all single braided sleeved wires, window panels, you name it.

Stick to this thread, you'll be in good company. I play a lot of games, but I am considerably more obsessed with building, modding, and overclocking.
As an hobby OCer, you really ought to consider a custom loop sometime down the road. It can get extremely expensive, but it's fun. And it can look damn good. Here's mine:
Regardless of whether you use a CL cooler like the 100i or an expensive custom loop, you may be a little disappointed with the haswell's OC performance out of the box. They are hot. But delidding it gave me a 20-25 degree temp drop -- and even still, I can hit 70C on that CPU (4.7GHz, 1.32v) while playing BF4 multiplayer (but I keep all my fans at 900-1000rpm).

yeah
15 builds in the last 14 working days, on top of normal workload. intern hasnt been here last week or this. most have been nice builds tho - well at least high end CPUs. beats upgrading old arse XP machines to W7 which is what i was doing the previous two weeks. god damn i hate that shite.
whats your email?

I think we will be friends.
I've been gaming a lot lately but i'm more the enthusiasts.
What set ups do you have?
Posted on 11/21/13 at 4:30 pm to jcole4lsu
Thanks, did you get that from your customers?
Posted on 11/21/13 at 4:38 pm to ILikeLSUToo
Yeah that setup and color choice is exactly my style. Sexy as hell. I've avoided a custom loop just more for the maintainance part more than anything. Those corsair closed loop coolers have done quite well for me. I've been OC an i7 930 at 4GHz stable consistently for years and that thing has never skipped a beat. No freezes, blue screens, Nada.
I'll definitely look for some help with the haswell OC because I heard they heat up pretty good. Should be getting everything in in a few days and will get back here for some feedback.
