I'll just go with the one you suggested for $20. I'm not gonna go all out on a cooler just yet because I won't OC for a while.

Yea the 212 is a great budget cooler. It is 100 times better than the stock one for sure.

Lew, I thought you already ordered parts.

Better half told me to pump my brakes. But now I'm cleared hot. I took what you and blue recommended. The video card is the only exception I believe.

Why 16GB of RAM?

Why a thermaltake power supply?

Why a full-tower case?

What's your budget for just the computer and will your monitor be 1080p or 1440p?

ETA I would stick to the 16GB of ram. I like having it and that study Gardoki linked shows it speeds up your SSD write time.

You are going to spend about $325 on that and it's not on PC part picker. You will be best to Ebay a Korean IPS. The GB will help you find one.

I am working on the rest for you.

I honestly just want to keep up with "next gen" without needing to upgrade right off the bat. I want to run at stupid awesome settings and whatnot.

7970 or 770 minimum

I have 2 7970s, and I still have to turn off AA in some games. I'm also at 1440p.

Seconded, the 212+ is second to none in its price bracket. For $20 is's complete steal. I'd buy it over many coolers that cost twice as much. It can hang with many $50+ (air) coolers as well.

Had one on my Phenom II 965 before I went closed loop with the Zalman LQ-310.

Man, I just saw that BestBuy has 16GB 4x4 of 1600MHz ram for $90. That's a good deal. It's PNY brand, but there is nothing wrong with it. I have 8GB of the same ram I used for a long time.

I see this note under the build stout upgraded. Will this cause any issues?

The 16GB is just a safe haven right? Like I won't need to upgrade for a while but I could easily stick with 8? Or no?
